Meet the All New HourStack

As many of you already know, we have spent the last year working hard to revamp HourStack based on direct feedback from our customers, and innovations we think you’ll love. This includes an all-new look and feel, new, highly-requested features, and a new website that better represents HourStack.

To all of our customers who took part in our beta testing period this past month, we thank you for all of your submitted feedback —we have implemented an additional 250 changes to the platform. So really, we owe this launch to every one of you who participated and helped us build an even better product. Thank you!

In fact, transparency is so integral to our product development process that we have also decided to create a public product roadmap. We are still finalizing some of the details on that, but soon we’ll be launching a space where you’ll be able to see our upcoming features and integrations, and be able to vote on what you want most, as well as participate in giving us ongoing feedback. In the meantime, lean on our trusty support email which goes directly to our team, and a list-style roadmap page. If you have any feedback up to this point, please do share it with us.

What’s New in HourStack This Year?

While our primary goal was to improve and enhance the product you already love, we also wanted to make all of the behind-the-scenes processes smoother. With that in mind, here’s what we did to update HourStack.

We completely rebuilt the product. We gave the user interface a refresh, made sure the whole platform works no matter what device you’re viewing it on, and made features more efficient and more simple-to-use than ever.

We added a host of new features. Some of our favorite new features include clients (a hierarchical category like projects), multiple labels per entry, optional start times for entries, recurring entries, new day, week, and month calendar views, quick reconnect on all integrations, bulk management of all workspace resources, and all new-reports with greater detail and improved visuals, and so much more.

A new website. We wanted to rebuild hourstack.com in a way that better detailed our key features and better represented our new look and feel. But, we also wanted to use the opportunity to revamp our help center, build out a more robust and active blog, and add some of those new features we’ve mentioned elsewhere, including a product roadmap, and resource documentation for developers. While the new website is live, some of the other features are still being worked on. Stay tuned and keep checking in. We’ll have more for you very soon, and we'll be sure to share details on the blog.

How to Transition to the New HourStack:

If You're New to HourStack:

If you are a new user or customer, you'll automatically have access to the new platform when you sign up for an account, or a free trial.

If at any time you need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to us: support@hourstack.com.

If You're Already an HourStack User:

Until your workspace is migrated, you'll continue to access the legacy app at https://app.hourstack.io. The new app is available at https://app.hourstack.com.

To get started using the new platform as a current customer/user, begin the process of migrating your data here. Once you’ve completed the migration you’ll be able to use the new product any time you login.

What if You’re Not Ready to Migrate?

Although we’re super excited for you to see the updated product, we understand that not everyone might be ready to transition quite yet. To help you out, you'll have until June 30, 2021 so that you can put a migration plan in place and transition a bit more slowly. Eventually, however, everyone will be moved over to the new app. If you’d like to “test” the new platform, we encourage you to do that. Read the Migration Guide to learn more about testing first.

If you are still using the legacy app and need access to our older user guides, you can find that information here. The legacy app will be available, through May 31, 2021, though we encourage you to migrate before that date.

A Quick Note About Pricing

Please note that when you migrate to the new HourStack, your pricing will not increase. Some plans will decrease in price and others will stay the same. See the migration guide for full details. If there are plans to change the pricing structure in the future, we'll be sure to let you know in advance.
