Managing Member Availability

Capacity is how many hours you allocate in a workday for team members. The default is 8:00 hours, but this can be changed to whatever your preference is.

To modify capacity you will need to click on the member management page and then select to edit the team member you'd like to set the capacity for.

How Capacity Works

When you allocate time for a task, the time will be taken out of the capacity for the day. For example, if your capacity is 6 hours, and you create a task for 3 hours, then you will be at an allocation of 50% capacity for that day.

If you track time for that task, the amount of time logged will be shown against your capacity in the indicators at the top of the day, and in reports.

Recommended Capacity

We recommend that you set your capacity to ~80% of the actual hours in your workday. For example, if you have 8 hours in your day, try setting the capacity to 6. This allows for inevitable interruptions and gives a better picture of the performance of tasks.
